This scarf is hand dyed and woven by highly skilled traditional artisans in Telengana, South India.
South Indian weavers are masters in creating silks in stunning color combinations. I picked out this scarf for its fuchsia pink with grape and copper colored patterning. This is an intriguing scarf as parts of the warp is olive green. When blended with the fuchsia pink weft it makes a gorgeous 'shot silk' of grape going from purple to pinkish tones depending on how the light shines on it. Notice the olive green fringes!

Warp ikat is a pre-loom patterning process. The warp threads
are tied tightly with water resistant materials and dipped into multiple
dyes. Once the dyeing is completed, the colorful patterned warp is
woven into exquisite textiles.
