Learn to spin cotton yarn with Louise
Wheatley. Demo of spinning by Louise using cotton sliver, punis
and cotton bolls; carding raw cotton, and if possible, some milkweed bast fiber. She will
also demonstrate how to ply pre-spun cotton yarn with milk weed. We will try to
use Gossypium Barbadense as much as possible as that is the species that
grew in Peru.
You can then try spinning directly from bolls, raw
cotton, punis, slivers, or card fibers and make your own punis.
